Thanksgiving - so what are you thankful for?
« on: November 25, 2014, 07:17:39 pm »
I am thankful that I still have both my parents.  They made many sacrifices during their lives to try and give my brother and I the best they could.  They helped mould me into the person I am today, I didn't turn out too bad I think! :D

I am thankful for my brother.  I consider him to be one of my best friends, someone I know I can always rely on and someone who will always be totally honest with me.

I am thankful that I have a partner that loves me to the moon and back, and who cares for me and puts up with me no matter what I throw at him!

I am thankful for my canine babies. The ones I have now and the ones that have gone from my life.  They have all enriched my life in so many ways and taught me so much about life and love.

I am thankful for every day I have and for all the practical things in my life, that I am blessed to have a job I love, a house to live in, heating to keep me warm and food in fridge.

For all these things and more, I am most thankful.

Im greatful for a Roof over our heads ,( until Bailey destroys it during his famous Boxer Burn in the house),  food on the table ,( well until Bailey gets mischeivous), clothes on the back , (till Bailey gets too playful and tears it off), a good wife , ( until she divorces me cause I spend too much time and money on Bailey) , loving granddaughters ( until Bailey steals and destroys their favorite toys) , a sound mind ( while Bailey is sleeping) and of couse Bailey! Now if only I can get into the season a bit more.. :)) :P :)

I am thankful for My Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ first & foremost.
I am thankful HE will guide the surgeons hand as my father has triple bypass surgery  Thanksgiving morning.
I am thankful for my family & that we are all as close as we are.
I am very thankful for Ruger. He has helped me heal so much.

I am blessed and thankful for:

My mom because she is awesome and has always believed in me 100%.
Being in pretty good health.
No military friends being killed or wounded in the last 12 months.
My wonderful husband - ditto same reasons as my mom.
Being able to work at a job that I enjoy.
Being older and having a different perspective at 45 than I did at 25.
The power company for getting my electricity back on line tonight after our first winter storm.
Our canine heating pads (aka Boxer dogs) for warming the bed while the power was out.

Holidays are hard at times.  I came across this and thought it was quite appropriate.

THANKS FOR THE LITTLE WHILE

Thank you for life. For its good times and bad
Thank you for love, even when I can't feel it.
Thank you for the love I used to share,
For the arms that held me tight.
Thank you for my family
In faraway places, in different times
Thank you for the songs we sang,
For the dreams we saved
For the smiles we shared
Thank you for the strength the eludes me just now
Thank you for the weakness that sends me to my
knees
Thank you for the searching, the reaching, the
hoping
Thank you for the bonds of memory that hold me in
place in this universe, even when I don't believe in
it anymore or forget what it is all about.
Thank you, most of all, for having been blessed with
the love I have known, even now when I fear I will
forget it.
Thank you for memory and for filling it full measure
for me. It wasn't nearly long enough, but it will
have to do. Thanks for the moments we danced.
Thanks for the little while…………………..

grkline,
Yer crakin' me up man. How can I follow that. Except to say it's nice to see you have your priorities in order. And you take such good care of your Boxer boy. :) (I bet everyone secretly love him like you do)

I am thankful for a job I love, for the people I work with, My family-Especially my parents still alive and feisty at the age of 80! And thankful for Doug and my fur babies also past and present. I am also thankful for all of you! Without the forum, I wouldn't have Rosie....or Daisy....or even Skeeter...(See it's all of your fault) The support and kind words that are shared between everyone are so heartfelt and meaningful to all of us !
I think I can also say we here are  ALL greatful for Nancy and Stephanie for being the words of wisdom and keeping us in line!

Crazyboxerlady...praying your father came through surgery okay!
