Best Grooming Brushes for Boxers
« on: January 13, 2010, 04:07:00 pm »
I recently adopted an adorable 2 year old boxer from the pound. My last dog Lexie was a cocker spaniel. I'm kinda confused when it comes to grooming brushes for this breed of dog. What's the best type of brush to use for a boxer?

In my humble opinion, it's the KONG Zoom Groom.  I just wrote a about them in another post.  General loves it and it gives him a good massage also.

I recommend the Curry brush to your Boxer. It is suitable for Boxer or any tight coated dog (Bulldog, pit, etc). Meanwhile the Zoon Groon by Kong works well too.

General sees the KONG Zoom Groom and he is wanting to be brushed.  I can't stress how well this does and gets the dead hairs out plus gives him a great massage and it's so relaxing to him.  You won't believe the hair that comes out the first time you use it.  No kidding.

I always use a Curry brush like Foxman09. But that KONG Zoom Groom thing sounds great  Nancy-IL. I think I'll pick one up and try it

:) After all ya just can't have enough stuff for your Boxer baby ;)

Debs, I bet Izzy would love it.  It's so soft, but still stiff enough to get the dead hair out and you will be amazed how soft the coat will be plus you'll be massaging your sweet little Izzy as you brush.  Petsmart and Petco both carry them.

You're right about "can't have enough for your Boxer baby".
